You may ask yourself is evangelism important? The answer is YES, evangelism is one of the most vital responsibilities that each Christian has been given by God. The Faith Tabernacle family believes that if there is no evangelism then there is no church. Mark 16:15 (KJV) says, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." God has commissioned, charged, commanded and licensed us to go and tell everyone about the gospel of Jesus Christ in the spirit of love. We believe that God not only wants us to tell people about His great love for us, but he wants us to demonstrate the love of Christ. In Matthew 25:35-36 (KJV) it says, "For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me."
This is why we have established an Evangelistic Outreach Ministry. We desire to work as the hands of God reaching out to a lost and dying world by helping those in need. We believe that the Word of God is what saves and changes people, but many times before the Word of God can be sown effectively into the hearts of people, merely reaching out to help the unbeliever meet simple needs prepares their heart to be receptive when the Word is sown. We can stand and be a witness to those that have not been converted just by simply demonstrating love and sharing the good news of the gospel.
We know that our labor is not in vain for the Bible tells us that there will be a reward for those that plant or water the seed of God. We are ever mindful that we don't have the ability to save anyone, salvation comes from the Lord. We just have to discipline ourselves to share the Word of God. When He is lifted up in our life and in our conversation, He can then draw the unbelievers to himself. Prior to us surrendering our life to Christ we were lost and on our way to a burning hell, but thanks be to God for allowing an obedient laborer to cross our path to share the good news of the Gospel, someone who was not ashamed of their testimony and not emabarssed to live for Christ openly.
